A former Healthcare Provider turned Attorney, I started my professional career as a mental health counselor providing intensive support services to children and their families.
Since 2011, I have served as an attorney. I started my legal career as a public defender, and moved on to civil practice, including debt, bankruptcy, and advocating for domestic abuse survivors.
I am licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland. I am an accredited attorney with the US Department of Veterans Affairs and admitted to the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). I am also admitted to the US District Court for the District of Columbia and Maryland, the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia and Maryland, and the US Tax Court. I have a bachelor's and master's degree from Hampton University and a JD from William H. Bowen School of Law.
I am a proud native of Brooklyn, NY, currently residing in the DC/MD/VA area. Despite a non-traditional path to law school, I followed in my parents' footsteps, becoming an attorney. In my free time, I am an active member of the Junior League of Washington and the National Hampton University Alumni Association. I also volunteer with local organizations providing pro bono legal services.
